We went on the 2 hour coastal and wildlife trip yesterday. It was a very pleasant and enjoyable way to spend an afternoon.
We have previously been on the trip around the Mount, which was also very enjoyable.
Neil is a mine of information and good company. I would highly recommend 👌

My wife and I booked a 2 hour coastal cruise and thoroughly enjoyed it. The booking system on the website is easy to use and a day before the trip, Neil (skipper/owner) emailed the instructions for arriving/meeting him at the boat which was running out of Newlyn due to the low tide at Mousehole (made clear on the website at time of booking).

The cruise was excellent. We couldn’t have asked for better weather and calmer seas. We saw quite a few seals and cormorants along the way and Neil’s anecdotes and stories about the local area were fascinating – particularly some of the experiences he shared with us about his time as coxswain of the nearby Penlee Lifeboat and more poignantly, his deep connection with the wrecked Solomon Browne and her crew, from December 1981.

I would definitely recommend a trip out on the Cormorant, particularly if you’re taking the kids with you (they might get a couple of goodies from Neil’s pirate treasure box) and also if you’re unsure about boats but like the idea of a trip out – you couldn’t ask for a more qualified and experienced skipper!

This is a must do!

Neil and Elaine are very warm and welcoming. During the boat trip they shared stories and photos of Mousehole and surrounding areas, and some very interesting personal stories of their lives, families and the RNLI. Great afternoon out – highly recommend it. Elaine also does walking tours of Mousehole.

A truly wonderful Cruise!

There were so many Oooo, Ahhhh moments on this wonderful trip out of Mousehole Harbour, Captained by Skipper Neil who happens to be both ex RNLI and Mousehole born and bred, so you are in very safe and knowledgeable hands.

Neil kept us entertained with his local knowledge both fact and fantasy, ( Ask about the animal in the cave! ) There was lots to hear and lots to see. We spotted a couple of Harbour seals and a pod of inquisitive Dolphins came to inspect both us and the boat, diving and jumping alongside us, they were so fast and so playful, that was a truly amazing and joyful experience.

The weather was beautiful, a perfect blue sky day in an Indian Summer on the Cornish Riviera. We had such a wonderful time.

Thank you Neil x

Fantastic boat trip. The skipper was knowledgeable, friendly and gave us a truly unforgettable experience. Seeing the wildlife is obviously not guaranteed but on this occasion we got lucky and saw dolphins and seals in the most beautiful of surroundings. I can’t recommend this trip highly enough. It was the highlight of an amazing trip to Cornwall.
