A chance to explore the breathtaking scenery and magnificent coastline around the village of Mousehole onboard the Cormorant.

This 1 hour trip departs from and returns to Newlyn harbour.

If we go north you will pass the old Penlee lifeboat station on the way up to Newlyn, and round to Penzance with views of St Michael’s Mount across the bay, or if we turn south you will cruise down to the beautiful Lamorna Cove with distant views of the majestic Tater-du Lighthouse.

Trips could encounter basking sharks, dolphins, grey seals, and seabirds in the rich and diverse waters that surround Mousehole. It’s especially exciting for our younger passengers to get a close up view of St Clement’s Island – a rocky outcrop which lays just off Mousehole where grey seals can often be seen basking in the sunshine.

Skipper Neil Brockman is a WiSe Accredited Wildlife Safe Operator which ensures Cormorant Cruising operates in a responsible manner to avoid the disturbance of animals and protects their wild nature.

*Please note that all passengers need to have a reasonable level of fitness with the ability to climb up and down granite steps in order to board the Cormorant. The precise trip itinerary/route is entirely at the discretion of the skipper and for your safety & comfort may vary from our listing due to tides, sea state and weather conditions. If it looks like the conditions are unsuitable your trip may be cancelled – if so you will receive notification via email, text or phone and a full refund given.

An excellent boat trip along the coast to Porthcurno. Neil Brockman makes the trip fun informative and poignant and as such it was a real pleasure to be aboard.

Best boat trip in Mousehole

Great day on the water with Nigel getting his life long local insider knowledge of the coast around Mousehole: wildlife, geology, fisheries management, Spanish sacking, childhood stories, local gossip. Fabulous way it spend and afternoon. Can’t wait to do it again.

First class boat trip company who go out of the way to give people a truly memorable experience for young families!

Our boat trip had to be abandoned yesterday 45mins in as it poured with rain and the forecast was nothing like it should have been and everyone was soaked. We were desperate to do the trip and thanks to Neil and Elaine they managed to get us rebooked in their busy boating schedule and added an extra trip in as they were so fully booked up this week. Wow tonight didn’t disappoint , an experience that our little family will never forget. We saw dolphins near Mousehole and Newlyn which was amazing to see. Thanks go to skipper Neil who made it a truly memorable time and highly recommend this company as they are fab, so what you waiting for hop on board and see for yourself, if you are still undecided see this photo from tonight of the dolphins spotted.

We’ve just had a really memorable Cornish family holiday. A highlight for us was the trip on the Cormorant. ‘Captain Neil’ as our 2 year old calls him is Mousehole born and bred and has so many stories for the trip, some highly personal and incredibly moving. If you’d like to have a really authentic personal experience of the area and if you’re lucky (as we were) see dolphins we’d highly recommend!
